The Fatherless, The Motherless, The Parentless

 

      How many times have we heard within our lifetime about children growing up without parents? "He would have turned out fine if his father was around to teach him how to be a man." Or "She would have been more a nice young lady if she had a mother to look up to." We see our children go to the streets to learn certain things because of no mother or father figure around. Other times when I'm just riding out to get groceries or running errands around school time, I see kids go into their houses by themselves. Others raise their brothers and sisters, when they, themselves, are very young. It is a sad situation to see. 

      We see this happen everyday so its nothing new. However, I think that there should be some action taken for this. I remember my mom telling me that when the parents are out working than the whole neighborhood would look after the children and help put in some structure in their lives. I wonder what happened to a strong community like that. We are living in a time where there seems to be more focus on money, and getting the "high status" than actual down time with family. It's very important to have that in a kids life. 

        The programs that they have for children are not even worth the investment because they are have hidden agendas behind them. In the Bible, it tells us that we should guide the Fatherless. Which is true. We have so many children out there that have no Father, no Mother or neither Parents in their lives. So they adapt to the situation as best as they can. They have good hearts but they need to be guided towards more positive things that they like to do. When one tries to raise themselves they are going to be rough around the edges so its easy to put stereotypes towards them. Easy to be judgmental. Instead of being so negative and judgmental about the situation, we need to find more affective ways to solve this problem.

        It is entirely up to us as a people to help improve our lives. As far as changing it entirely, that is something God must do for us. No one is going to do it for us. I've noticed this. We can scream and shout to the governments to assist us and they are not going to do anything to help us. Instead they rather see us in the streets killing each other to survive or dead. That's it. We can't rely on any thing federal at all. It would be nice for the celebrities who are the same nationality as us to help build and fund better independent organizations rather than anything federal approved because everyone knows that they get a huge cut of the proceeds. Yeah, I know it sounds like a dream but that would be a great solution if it were a reality. Children need to know that they do matter and there are good people out there who are willing to help them succeed. All children are born with a good heart its just the environment that they are living in and the situations that they are in shapes their perspective on life.
